COMPETITION SCHEDULE

CMF Design Award 2022 time frame; discounts for early registration.

November 14, 2022: Start registration.

August 15, 2022:  Deadline of Preferential registration.

September 23, 2022:  Deadline of general registration.

October 08, 2022:  The works be publicized on WeChat Subscription.

October 09-14, 2022:  Preliminary evaluation meeting, selection and release of works in and out of the enclosure.

October 15, 2022:  The finalists be publicized on WeChat Subscription.

October 16-22, 2022:  Products or prototypes be sent.

October 23-29, 2022:  The final evaluation meeting, will select winning works.

October 30, 2022:  The winners be announced.

November 13, 2022:  Award ceremony, award-winning works exhibition, and media report.


ENTRY FEES

No registration fee for early registration (before August 31, 2022); registration fee for general registration (September 1, 2022-September 30, 2022) is RMB 800 yuan (10% off for the winners of the 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 CMF DESIGN AWARD, which is RMB 720 yuan.)

Fee Description:the overall fee includes the registration fee, the finalist fee and the award service fee. The finalist works will be generated after the first round of judging, and the award-winning works will be generated after the second round of judging. The fee notification letters will be sent in the form of mail.

Expense instructions:the finalist fee includes certificates fees, jury labor fees, the award ceremony tickets, publicity expenses, etc. In addition to the above items, award-winning fee includes the trophies fees, exhibition fees.


PARTICIPANTS

OEMs, manufacturers, suppliers, and designers with products that carry out CMF innovation in the aspects of color, material, molding process, surface treatment, pattern texture, five senses, emotions, etc. , and can be mass producted.. 

The listing time of the work be less than 3 years. There is no limit to the number of works that each participant can register.


SCOPE OF WORKS

Products (Auto Makers): automobile, home appliances, home furnishings, mobile / consumer electronics, clothing, packaging, cosmetics, shoes, hats, bags, medical devices, robots, intelligent hardware, aircraft, ships, trains & high-speed rail, jewelry, toys, gifts, traditional crafts, lighting, textiles, baby products, sports / outdoor products, game hardware / virtual reality technology products、building / interior space, etc.

Samples (suppliers): materials, processes, equipment, technology, raw materials, consumables, color tools (color cards, color instruments, color equipment), etc. Materials such as: plastic, metal, ceramics, glass, rubber (elastomer), membrane material (membrane), chemical industry (coating, ink, dye,), textile (fabric,), leather (natural, artificial leather), plate (color board, household board, composite board, aluminum plastic board, fireproof board, ceiling board, etc.), paper (decorative paper), consumables (powder, liquid, wheel) , composite materials.


EVALUATION CRITERIA

Experts from design, industry and research institutes around the world will review each participation works fairly and rigorously.

CMF design innovativation, or CMF promotion and transformation of a single element or multiple elements basing on existing products, similar products in the existing industry, and cross-industry product applications; innovations including visual, touch, taste, hearing, smell and other elements.

Aesthetic: Excellent visual effect in CMF design.

Functionality: Meeting product requirements in terms of testing, using, performance, safety and maintenance in CMF design.

Implement: With the help of modern technology, material technology, engineering technology, and industrial chain, the landing transformation and mass production of CMF design can be achieved.

Environmentality: In terms of material selection, manufacturing process and energy consumption, more environmentally friendly than similar products, and the recycling and treatment of products is considered.

Affectivity: Besides the practical use of the product, the CMF design of the product provides an emotional experience.

RIGHT OF INTERPRETATION

Based on the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness, the Committee Of International CMF Design Award will announce the competition schedule and final results on the official website and related media;

The committee has the final interpretation and judging power for this event. If there is a dispute over the work, you can call the committee to report it and provide corresponding evidence as supporting evidence (such as plagiarizing the relevant documents). The winner will be cancelled upon verification Qualifications, certificates and trophies.


ORGANIZER RIGHTS

1. According to the actual situation of the schedule system, the right to adjust the number of awards, cancel or add awards.

2.The organizer has the right to display, publish, promote and publicize all the entries. The content of all entries must be original works. Participants must ensure that they have complete and adequate intellectual property rights in their entries, without counterfeiting or infringing on the intellectual property rights of others. Once the shortlisted and winning entries are found to have plagiarism or other infringement, the organizer will cancel their Participate in, enter and qualify for the award, withdraw the trophy, award certificate, and announce its infringement in the relevant media.
