COMPETITION SCHEDULE

CMF Design Award 2020 are announced, early registration has a discount!

January 01, 2020: Start registration.

August 31, 2020:  Deadline of Preferential registration.

September 30, 2020:  Deadline of general registration.

October 09, 2020:  Works will be publicized on the official website and WeChat Subscription online media.

October 10-15, 2020:  Preliminary evaluation meeting, selection and release of works in and out of the enclosure.

Before October 23, 2020:  Send the products to Participate in physical evaluation.

October 24-29, 2020:  The final evaluation meeting will select winning works.

October 30, 2020:  Award notice.

November-December 2020:  Award ceremony, award works exhibition, media report.


ENTRY FEES

Early bird ticket registration fee is free (before August 31, 2020), general registration (September 1, 2020-September 30, 2020), registration fee is RMB 800 yuan; (Winners of the 2017, 2018 and 2019 CMF DESIGN AWARD, this time Registration has a subsequent application discount, and the registration fee is based on a corresponding 10% discount, which is RMB 720 yuan.)

Fee Description:the overall fee includes application fee, shortlisted service fee and Award service fee. The products or samples that need to be included in the qualification fee will be sent a notice letter by email after the first round of evaluation is completed. If not, they will not be required to pay. The award service fee will be generated after the second round of on-site material evaluation. If it is not awarded, no payment will be made.

Instructions for use of expenses:the expenses incurred after the shortlisted include the costs of attending the award dinner, trophies, certificates,labor cost of judges, exhibition costs, and publicity expenses.


PARTICIPANTS

The products, designed and developed by global manufacturers and designers in the color, materials, molding finishing, surface treatment, pattern texture, five senses and other elements related to CMF design,CMF innovation, mass-producible and achievability, can be registered. The marketing time of the participated products cannot exceed 3 years (Which means the regular registration date couldn’t exceed 3 years since the product launch date). The number of products that registered by each participant/enterprise is not limited.


SCOPE OF PARTICIPATION

Products (Auto Makers): automobile, home appliances, home furnishings, mobile / consumer electronics, clothing, packaging, cosmetics, shoes, hats, bags, medical devices, robots, intelligent hardware, aircraft, ships, trains & high-speed rail, jewelry, toys, gifts, traditional crafts, lighting, textiles, baby products, sports / outdoor products, game hardware / virtual reality technology products、building / interior space, etc.

Samples (suppliers): materials, processes, equipment, technology, raw materials, consumables, color tools (color cards, color instruments, color equipment), etc. Materials such as: plastic, metal, ceramics, glass, rubber (elastomer), membrane material (membrane), chemical industry (coating, ink, dye,), textile (fabric,), leather (natural, artificial leather), plate (color board, household board, composite board, aluminum plastic board, fireproof board, ceiling board, etc.), paper (decorative paper), consumables (powder, liquid, wheel) , composite materials.


EVALUATION CRITERIA

A panel of distinguished experts from design, industry and research institutes around the world will review each participation works fairly and rigorously.

Innovation: Whether there is innovation in CMF design; Whether there is promotion, innovation extension and transformation of single element or multi-element of CMF in the application of existing products, similar products in existing industries or cross-industry products; The innovations of elements of vision, touch, taste, hearing, and smell, etc.

Aesthetic: Whether there is a pleasing sensibility in CMF design presentations.

Functionality: Whether CMF design can meet the requirements of testing, operation, use, performance, safety and maintenance of the product.

Implement: Whether CMF design can be achieved and implemented by modern technology, material technology, engineering technology, production cost, batch quality, industrial chain.

Environmentality: Whether the material selection, manufacturing process and energy consumption of the product are controlled in an appropriate ratio. Compared with the similar products, whether the products own more environmentally friendly value, whether the handling and recycling of the product is considered to be improved.

Affectivity: Besides the practical use of the product, if the CMF design of the product can provide emotional, psychological feelings and experiences.

RIGHT OF INTERPRETATION

Based on the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness, the Committee Of International CMF Design Award will announce the competition schedule and final award results on the official website and related communications;

The committee has the final interpretation and judging power for this event. If there is a dispute over the work, you can call the committee to report it and provide corresponding evidence as supporting evidence (such as plagiarizing the relevant documents). The winner will be cancelled upon verification Qualifications, certificates and trophies.


ORGANIZER RIGHTS

1. According to the actual situation of the schedule system, the right to adjust the number of awards, cancel or add awards.

2.The organizer has the right to display, publish, promote and publicize all the entries. The content of all entries must be original works. Participants must ensure that they have complete and adequate intellectual property rights in their entries, without counterfeiting or infringing on the intellectual property rights of others. Once the shortlisted and winning entries are found to have plagiarism or other infringement, the organizer will cancel their Participate in, enter and qualify for the award, withdraw the trophy, award certificate, and announce its infringement in the relevant media.
